Prior to joining the faculty, Professor Harrington practiced
with a prominent Manhattan law firm and was vice president and
general counsel of a large industrial corporation. He has authored
over 25 published articles in the areas of corporate, financial and
derivatives law.
Professor Harrington is a member of the American and New York
State Bar Associations and of the Association of the Bar of the
City of New York, and has been active on a variety of their
corporate, securities and derivatives law committees. He is a
Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. In 1998 he served as
the Bank of Japan Visiting Professor in Tokyo. He teaches Business
Organizations, Business Planning, Corporations, Corporate Finance
and Securities Regulation.
