Before joining the St. John’s law faculty in 2007, Professor
Scott taught Legal Research and Writing at Seton Hall University
School of Law and at Temple University’s Beasley School of
Law. In law school, she was Articles Editor of the
Columbia Journal of Environmental Law and a member of the Public
Interest Law Foundation.
Professor Scott practiced real estate law in New York for
thirteen years, specializing in public-private transactions and
large-scale development projects. At Patterson, Belknap, Webb
& Tyler, she worked extensively on the redevelopment of 42nd
Street/Times Square, representing the New York City Economic
Development Corporation. From 1995 to 1997, she was Special
Counsel at MTA-Metro-North Railroad, concentrating on the
renovation of Grand Central Terminal and other development
projects.
Professor Scott is a member of the Legal Writing Institute and
an assistant editor of its Journal. She teaches Legal Writing
and Legal Research & Writing.
