The Honorable William H. Pauley III

York
Judge Pauley was appointed to the Southern District bench
in 1998. He is a graduate of Duke University (1974) and its
School of Law (1977). Following law school, Mr. Pauley
served as a Deputy County Attorney in the Appeals Bureau
of the Nassau County Attorney’s Office. He then was in
private practice, including from 1985 until 1998 with the
firm of Snitow & Pauley, where his practice focused on
complex federal civil litigation. He also served from 1984
until 1998 as Assistant Counsel to the New York State
Assembly Minority.
