Hon. Joseph C. Calabrese, Senior
Judge of the Nassau County Court has been elected President of the
County Judges’ Association of New York State. Judge Calabrese was
sworn in by Hon. Jan H. Plumadore, Deputy Chief Administrative
Judge for all the Courts Outside of the City of New York at the
Annual Meeting held at Hudson Valley Resort and Spa in June,
2006.
Philip J. Catapano has become a
Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
John Daly received a special
Recognition Award from the Housing Partnership for outstanding
service to the non-profit organization. Mr. Daly is a partner at
the Portsmouth office of Pierce Atwood LLP. Pierce Atwood is the
largest law firm in Northern New England.
William F. Dowling, former
President of the Onondaga County Bar Association, has been
designated by the Chief Administrative Judge of the State of New
York to serve as a Special Referee to hear cases assigned to the
Model Permanency Part in Onondaga County Family Court in Syracuse,
NY.
Bruce Kelton was appointed an
Administrative Law Judge for the U.S. Department of Health and
Human Services, Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals in Irvine,
CA.

as Chairman of New York City Community Board 18 and President of
the Mill Island Civic Association in Brooklyn, NY.
