Joseph Izzillo was featured in an article that appeared in the Naples Daily News, concerning his pursuit for the Canonization of Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha. Mr. Izzillo, an artist for over 40 years, painted an oil painting of the Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha, know as “Lily of the Mohawks”, which is on display near her tomb in the Mohawk village of Kahnawake, on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River near Montreal.
