Transnational legal and business opportunities go well beyond
national borders. The need to expand legal knowledge and acquire
working experience in different jurisdictions is increasingly in
demand. Law firms and corporate employers are constantly looking
for graduates with exposure to international studying or work
experiences. Studies show that students with international
experience are viewed by employers as more flexible, open,
independent and intellectually curious. Such qualities are in great
demand today.
The Summer Rome Program 2008 offers a way to enjoy the
experience of learning. Students will have the pleasure of gaining
credits toward graduation in an unusual setting. They will have the
opportunity to enjoy Rome’s historic, cultural and culinary values,
develop networking connections for future reference, absorb
different cultures and acquire the critical knowledge necessary to
advance in their future profession. Students will also have the
opportunity to use weekends (including Fridays) to travel in Italy
and Europe.
The Office of Transnational Programs is designed with
appreciation of the needs of the increasingly global legal world.
The Summer Program in Rome helps us satisfy these needs.
A unique opportunity awaits J.D. or LL.M. candidates interested
in improving their skills and acquiring a legal and cultural
education from an international perspective, while enjoying a month
in beautiful Italy.
Our first Summer Rome
Program proved to be a success, and we would like to continue
and improve upon that success with you. We hope to see you in
Rome.
