More than 850 students, faculty, staff and
guests gathered on the Great Lawn at St. John’s University’s
Queens, NY, campus this month for a luncheon celebrating the
official renaming of the College
of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
The University changed the name from the College of Pharmacy and
Allied Health Professions to stress the school’s dual focus on
cutting-edge research as well as career preparation.
“The luncheon allowed us to showcase the College and the wider
variety of programs we have to offer,” said Sawanee Khongsawatwaja,
Associate Dean, Administration and Fiscal Affairs. “It was also an
occasion to introduce our newly appointed acting dean, Dr.
Zito.”
