When Becoming a Global Attorney
Matters to You
The LL.M. in Transnational Legal Practice program at St. John’s
School of Law is designed to train U.S. and foreign attorneys in
the rapidly expanding cross-border practice of law, to educate
global attorneys within the New York City legal community ― the
center of global legal practice ― and to enhance non-native English
speaking attorneys’ skills in practicing law in English, the
lingua franca of the global legal profession.
As a student in this two-semester, 24-credit program, you will:
- Learn from some of New York’s best academic lawyers and most
experienced practicing international attorneys.
- Live in New York City, the financial, cultural and commercial
capital of the U.S. and the world, as well as the center of
transnational legal practice globally.
- Prepare yourself for success in the global legal profession in
a program focused on getting you ready to meet the challenges of
21st century cross-border legal practice.
An Outstanding Program of Study
Focused on What You Need to Succeed
Participants in the LL.M. in Transnational Legal Practice program

transnational practice in an increasingly economically
interdependent world.
