Securities Arbitration Clinic / St. Vincent de Paul Legal Program Inc.,

The Securities Arbitration Clinic addresses the needs of investors, who require legal representation, while simultaneously enhancing the educational experience of St. John’s law students.  In the wake of the stock market decline of 2000-2002 and 2008, there has been an explosion of investors submitting disputes relating to their accounts against their broker-dealers to arbitration.  This substantial increase in filings has exacerbated the difficulties that small investors have traditionally experienced in obtaining competent legal representation.  St. John’s law students meet those needs by providing free legal services to small investors.
