GSA@stjohns.edu
Term: May 2012 - April 2013
Hi, my name is Kelly
Almond. I am a second year Ph.D. Candidate in the College of
Pharmacy and Health Sciences, pursuing a degree in toxicology. My
research focuses on environmental toxicology, studying the effects
of an anti-fouling agent on the development of Zebrafish. I
graduated from St. Johns BS ’08 and MS ’11, and currently serve as
the Vice President of the GSA. Previously, I have served as the
Treasurer of GSA and have been the student representative on
several committees within the university. As the VP of the GSA, my
goal is to grow our influence within the university and bring
social opportunities and networking events to all graduate
students. We seek to enhance the professional skills and resources
to make St Johns’ students more competitive in their chosen field
and future careers.
