St. John’s University and the Teaching Financial Education Group
have convened financial literacy roundtables and forums creating
the groundwork for a representative group of stakeholders to take
steps necessary for options to improve financial literacy
education.
The focus for professional development will be on new learning
strategies to assist teachers and learners to acquire financial
literacy skills through daily experiences by integrating financial
literacy education into the mandated school curriculum; and serve
as a research arm to study the impact of financial literacy and
their effects on the development of lifelong learning behavior of
personal financial decisions.
