Program
The program is designed to expose participants to the cultural
atmosphere surrounding education in France.
- Seminars on education system in France
- Networking with European practitioners
- Workshops with education experts
- Field visits to schools (preschool, elementary and secondary
schools)
- Visit to children’s museums in Paris
- Tours in Paris
Curriculum Focus
- Historical and sociological context of French approaches to
education
- Observe teacher and children in school, create lesson plans,
participate in after school programs, converse with French
students, assist teaching English, as well as have an opportunity
to teach a lesson in an English class
- School and family partnerships in education
- Teaching styles of the French Education System
- Role of the arts in French preschools
