prepare teachers for certification in their respective fields,
while imparting a values-based philosophy that promotes service,
integrity, compassion and diversity.

six-credit program for individuals currently certified in
Adolescent Education (7-12) or Childhood Education (1-6) to extend
their certification through grades 5-6 for Adolescent Education and
7-9 for Childhood Education..
Career Change
In response to the need for teachers in elementary, middle
and secondary schools, St. John’s University offers a master’s
degree program that can qualify you for a full-salaried
teaching position within one year, even if you attend
part-time.
