Troops to Teachers Program

St. John’s University is pleased to announce support for participants of Troops to Teachers (TTT), a Department of Defense Program funded by the U.S. Department of Education, through The School of Education’s accelerated masters degree programs. The primary objective of TTT is to help recruit quality teachers for schools that serve students from low-income families throughout America. TTT helps relieve teacher shortages, especially in math, science, special education and other critical subject areas, and assists military personnel in making successful transitions to second careers in teaching. The program also provides public school districts with the opportunity to benefit from the skills, education and experience of a pool of mature, motivated, experienced, and dedicated personnel.

Registration
Register with Troops to Teachers by downloading a registration form.  Additionally, questions regarding registration can be directed to Mr. Rick Jackson at (877) 493-2444 / (518) 474-4661.  Eligible active duty and reserve personnel may register with Troops to Teachers at any time.
