Sandra Schamroth Abrams, Ph.D., an Assistant Professor
in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, completed her
Doctorate in Education at Rutgers University. Dr. Abrams holds
a Bachelor of Arts in English and two master’s degrees – one in
Literature and the other in English Education. Prior to coming
to St. John’s, Dr. Abrams was a high school English teacher
developing skills in process writing, collaborative learning,
technology integration and portfolio assessment. She has several
publications exploring the impact of technology on learning and
redefining literacy instruction in the 21st century.
