Dr. Holmes joined St. John’s University in 2004 as an Assistant
Professor for Educational Technology in the Department of Early
Childhood, Childhood, and Adolescent Education. At St.
John’s, she works closely with pre-service and in-service teachers
developing innovative strategies and tools to incorporate in their
classroom experience. Dr. Holmes also worked with local
schools and the Brooklyn Bridge Program of St. John’s University
helping teachers and students utilize their resources to promote
active learning. Her research interests include technology
integration, professional development, and online learning.
As Associate Professor she continues to explore innovative uses of
technology in education which include the use of video and
electronic portfolios. Through research and development, Dr.
Holmes strives to improve the quality of education for all learners
of all ages.
