Excitement and St. John’s spirit abounded during the reception as attendees gathered to meet fellow alumni and enjoy a light dinner.  “These receptions are a great way for me to see other alumni,” shared Angelo Dell’Olio ’80SVC, as the many in attendance confirmed.  “The number of alumni present tonight is exceptional,” explained Bill Lipson, assistant director of alumni relations.  “It’s great to see the interaction between alumni who are just beginning to reconnect to the University and those who have been connected for years.”

Bill Schaeffer, director of alumni relations, along with Bill Lipson, welcomed alumni, shared highlights about the University including the 100th anniversary of the Men’s Basketball program and invited attendees to the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day breakfast before the parade.

The reception’s lively environment elicited smiles and comments from attendees. “What a great atmosphere to see so many alumni and friends at a social gathering,” exclaimed Robert Schindler ’86SVC. “This is a great venue where we can all get together and have some fun!”

The reception concluded as alumni, ready to rally behind the men’s basketball team, walked to their seats to watch the game together.  The next pre-game reception will be held on Wednesday, February 6 at 5:30 p.m. before the game against Rutgers University at the Rutgers University campus in New Brunswick, NJ.
