Alumni, students, faculty and administrators recently came
together at the Law School to celebrate the launch of the Office
of Career Services’ (OCS) new Alumni Mentor Program. Over 80
alumni representing a wide range of legal settings and practice
areas have generously volunteered to participate in the program.
Matched with current law students, they offer practical advice and
information relevant to career development, the practice of law and
the legal profession.
Mentors are encouraged to meet with the students in person at
least once each semester to build a relationship that lasts
throughout law school and into the post-graduate years. As the
program's facilitator, OCS periodically checks in with participants
to see how their mentor-mentee relationship is progressing and to
offer guidance.
There is an ongoing need for alumni mentors to help build and
sustain this important initiative. To learn more about the Alumni
Mentor Program at St. John’s Law School, please contact Tess
