Our curriculum consists of 18 core graduate credits in School
Administration, an intensive three-credit internship and 12
elective credits in graduate education courses.
These courses can be in any of the following areas:
administrative electives; the content core of the initial
certificate; a related content area; Special Education; Literacy;
TESOL; Gifted and Talented; or in pedagogy courses, as prescribed
by New York State for a total of 33 graduate credits.
Qualified applicants must meet the
following requirements for admission into the program:
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or
university
- Normally a 3.0 GPA in the general average and in the major
field
- Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience and/or
pupil personnel services
- New York State Permanent Teaching Certification
