Dr. Eftekharzadeh received his MBA in Quantitative Analysis in 1979, a certified degree in Cost Accounting in 1980 from St. John’s University and his Ph.D. in Management Planning Systems from the City University of New York in 1990. Prior to coming to St. John's University in 1990, Dr. Eftekharzadeh taught at Hofstra University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, and the City University of New York. Dr. Eftekharzadeh’s doctoral dissertation is about Multi Stage Capacitated Lot Sizing that determines scheduling at different stages of production. Dr. Eftekharzadeh’s research expertise is in the area of mathematical modeling in the area lot size scheduling with or without capacity, management information systems, and decision support systems. He has published numerous articles and has made many domestic and international conference presentations. Dr. Eftekharzadeh is a member of the International Academy of Business Disciplines, Decision Sciences Institute, Operation Research Society, and American Production and Inventory Control Society. His professional consultations include cost accounting, financial and statistical analysis.
