What should I wear under my gown?
The temperature in Rome during July is very hot; therefore you should wear light, comfortable semi-formal attire.

How do I order my cap and gown?
You must order your cap and gown by visiting or contacting your Academic Dean's office no later than Friday, May 8, 2009. 

When can I pick up my cap and gown?
The Academic Dean's offices will distribute caps and gowns from Wednesday, July 8 through Friday, July 10, 2009. If you are unable to pick up your academic attire during these times, you must make the proper arrangements with your Dean.

Do I need tickets for my guests to attend the Commencement ceremony?
Yes. Each graduate will receive a maximum of five (5) admit one tickets. These tickets will be made available at the time of cap and gown distribution from July 8 through July 10.

Please note: due to security reasons, the names of all participants and guests must be provided to the appropriate Academic Dean's offices in advance and no later than Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Those who are not listed on the attendance list WILL NOT be permitted to enter the Scuola Ufficiali Carabinieri site on Commencement day. In addition, all guests must present a valid form of identification and hold a general entrance ticket for the ceremony.

Where and when is the Baccalaureate Mass?
The Mass will be held in the Biblioteca, Library, of the Scuola Ufficiali Carabinieri at 4:30 p.m. It is open to all graduate candidates and their guests. All are welcome to attend.

What time should I arrive to the Scuola Ufficiali Carabinieri on Commencement day?
The doors will open at 3:30 p.m. for those who will be attending the Mass.
All graduates will need to assemble in the Sala Caruso, in their cap and gown, no later than 5:15 p.m. The Procession will begin promptly at 5:45 p.m. and it is imperative that all graduates check in at 5:15 p.m. to ensure their name is read at the Commencement ceremony.

What time should my guests arrive?
Guests who will not attend the Mass will be admitted to the Auditorium at 5 p.m., one hour before the ceremony.

What do I do at the ceremony?
Graduates will be briefed in the graduate and faculty assembly area, Sala Caruso, and lined up alphabetical order according to their college/school. At the start of the Procession, the Academic Deans will lead you into the Aula Magna and direct you to your row.

What about photos? Can our guests take pictures?
Guests can take pictures during the ceremony but will not be permitted to take pictures near the stage or in the Procession/Recession route. There will be a professional photographer who will take a picture of each graduate on stage as their name is read. Photos will be made available online for students after the ceremony.

When and where is the cocktail reception?
The cocktail reception will be held immediately following the ceremony in the Giardini degli Aranci. In case of rain, the reception will be held inside in the Sala Mensa. All graduates and their guests are invited to attend.

When will I receive my diploma?
Actual diplomas will be distributed by the Academic Dean's offices after July 20, 2009. To find out if you are eligible to receive your diploma, please contact your Dean's office. 

Can diplomas be mailed to me or picked up by an authorized person?
Yes. You must notify your Academic Dean in writing with an updated mailing address. An authorized person may pick up diplomas after you have filed a Third Party Authorization Form.
