Checklist

In order to determine your eligibility to particate in the Rome Commencement ceremony, please contact your Academic Dean's office before Friday, May 1, 2009. Students are responsible for understanding their obligations regarding their academic requirements and they are strongly urged to meet with their academic advisor to review their academic and financial files.

All eligible students are encouraged to participate in the ceremony. Those who will be unable to attend should notify their Academic Dean's office in writing.

Please use this checklist with dates to complete the necessary steps to participate in your Commencement ceremony.

• Update/Verify Contact Information
  During final semester of studies

• File Diploma Application and Cap and Gown Order
  Deadline – Friday, May 8, 2009
  Contact - Academic Dean's office

• Notify St. John's if you choose NOT to attend the Commencement Exercises
  No later than Friday, May 1, 2009
  Contact - Academic Dean's office
   
• Provide all the names of your guests who are attending the Commencement Exercises
  No later than Tuesday, June 30, 2009
  Contact - Academic Dean's office

• Verify that all your Academic Requirements and Financial Obligations
  No later than Friday, June 26, 2009
  Contact - Academic Dean's office and Business Manager

• Pick-up Cap and Gown and Admit One Tickets for self and guests
  Wednesday, July 8, 2009: 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
  Thursday, July 9, 2009: 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
  Friday, July 10, 2009: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

• Complete All Academic Degree Requirements

• Commencement Day - Sunday, July 19, 2009
  • 3:30 p.m. Doors open at Commencement site

  • 5 p.m. Doors open for Commencement ceremony

  • 5:45 p.m. Procession begins
