Assembly Times
For these ceremonies, we ask that the graduates line up in
the following locations:
Graduates are asked to assemble in all locations wearing their
academic attire. The hood should be worn at the Commencement
Exerciseses but not the Doctoral Hooding Ceremonies where it should
be carried over the graduate’s right arm. Graduates will be hooded
as part of the Doctoral Hooding Ceremony.

Tickets
Each doctoral student will receive the following tickets along with
their academic attire:
St. John’s University Commencement Exercises -
4 tickets
Doctoral Hooding Ceremony - 10 tickets
Academic Attire
Wearing academic attire (cap, gown and hood) is both traditional
and required for participation in both the St.
John's University Commencement Exercises and the Doctoral
Hooding Ceremonies.
There is no charge for academic attire for our graduates.
Students may keep their academic attire as a souvenir gift from St.
John's University. Graduate caps come with a plain black tassel.
Souvenir red and white tassels can be purchased at Academic Attire
Distribution.

Students are advised to try on their cap, gown and hood at
distribution to allow for any changes that need to be made.

have not already completed this form, please do so immediately.

College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions
Although this option is strongly advised against, as it will
delay your arrival and the procession, Academic Attire Distribution
will also take place on Sunday, May 15, 2011 from 8:30 a.m.
- 2 p.m. in Marillac Terrace. This option is only available
for those students who are unable to pick up their academic attire
on their scheduled dates and times.
Third Party Pick up
All academic attire must be picked up in person by the candidates.
If, however, the degree candidate is unable to pick up at the times
allotted, a third party may pick items up providing the individual
has a copy of the student's order confirmation and StormCard
ID.
