Anatomical Origins: The Artwork of Viktor Deak

 

A solo exhibition featuring works of acclaimed illustrator Viktor Deak.  His reconstructions and images have been featured in The American Museum of Natural History NYC.  He has also created work for National Geographic TV, Nova, and BBC Documentaries, as well as many major publications including Scientific American, The New York Times, and Discover Magazine. 

 

About Viktor:

Viktor Deak lives and works in New York City.  He is co-creator of the award winning book The Last Human 2007.  The traveling exhibit Lucy’s Legacy created by The Houston Museum of Natural Sciences TX features an original 78 ft. mural surrounding the actual fossils of the famous Australopithecus known as Lucy.  He has done concept work for the upcoming 20th Century Fox motion picture Rise of the Planet of the Apes. These days, Deak is diving deep in CG modeling and animation setting his sights on creating films about human evolution.
