2012 Department of Fine Arts Faculty
Exhibition
The Department of Fine Art’s commitment to providing innovative
artistic instruction, fostering student learning and critical
thinking can be perceived in the 2012 Department of Fine Arts
Faculty Exhibition. Through this exhibition, the St. John’s
University community has a great opportunity to engage, explore and
comprehend the creative process of our Fine Arts Faculty by
interpreting the meaning and intention of each artist’s experience
through their creations. The exhibition also functions as a
valuable tool to teach young artists who are inspired by their
professor’s artwork.
These works are offered to us in an intimate setting where each
faculty’s philosophical vision and aesthetic concepts are presented
with diverse materials, visual richness and a broad range of
subject matter. This year’s vast body of work includes painting,
drawing, photography, sculpture, graphic design, illustration,
mixed media, jewelry design and motion graphics. The 2012
Department of Fine Arts Faculty Exhibition is our time to celebrate
the meaningful contributions to art and education of our dedicated
faculty.
