St. John’s University to Host Art Exhibition of Recent Works by Former Professor Bill Ronalds at Sun Yat Sen Hall

St. John's University welcomes the works of Bill Ronalds to the Dr. Geoffrey Yeh Art Gallery on the University Queens Campus from January 28-March 5. The curator for this event is Professor Thomas Kerr. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

A lecture by Ronalds about his work will be given at the Dr. Geoffrey Yeh Art Gallery on March 5 during the University’s common hour (beginning at 12:20) and a closing reception will follow at 4:30 p.m.

Ronalds a former professor in the Fine Arts Department at St. John’s, retired in 2004 and has been working on a composition of prints, drawings and watercolors. Taking the iconography found in pinball machines, neon lights, amusement parks and advertising, Bill explores, in each artwork, the visual poetics held within the imagery of American pop culture.
