Our theme is students' perceptions of technology use in the classroom. The poster is based on students' answers to survey questions on a variety of technology issues; the primary focus of the poster is PowerPoint in the classroom.
Abstract
Students were surveyed for their opinions on the use of technology in the classroom as it affects their learning. Our university has been cited by Intel as an "unwired campus;" our faculty are encouraged to adopt and employ classroom technology. This poster presents results from the survey and articulates the views, perceptions, and beliefs of our students regarding the use of PowerPoint, web-based notes, laptops in the classroom, and other technologies. Students were open in their remarks about the potential abuses and benefits of classroom technology.
