Father Harrington has graciously made possible, through the
Center for Teaching and Learning, four annual awards for excellence
in teaching and scholarship. It is our hope that these awards will
continue to foster a distinctive learning community at St. John's,
a community that focuses on improving student learning and
development. The first award of $5,000 is the prestigious St.
Vincent de Paul Teacher-Scholar Award, given annually to a
professor who has established a distinguished record of continued
excellence in teaching and scholarly achievements, both within and
outside the classroom.
