Applicants for the Doctoral degree in
Audiology (Au.D) must:
- Possess a baccalaureate degree (Track I), or in the case of
advanced standing (Track II), masters degree in Audiology
- Satisfy the department that his or her undergraduate/graduate
preparation indicates a high potential for successful advanced
study in Audiology
- Submit transcripts of undergraduate and/or graduate work
- Have completed a minimum of 21 undergraduate background credits
in Speech-Language Pathology
- Submit three letters of recommendation, one of which must be
from an individual who will address the matter of the applicant’s
research potential
- Provide a clearly written statement of educational and
professional goals
- Student must select home institution (Adelphi, Hofstra or St.
John’s) in which records will be kept and from which degree will be
designated
- GRE’s will be required for those students applying for Track I
(those applying with a bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language
Pathology or Audiology, or who have completed the necessary
pre-requisite courses)
