Before joining the St. John's University Writing Center as an
Associate Director in 2007, I worked as a consultant in writing
centers at New York City College of Technology, Long Island
University in Brooklyn, and Skidmore College.
One semester before I arrived, Connie DeSimone,
Harry Denny, and talented group of consultants had opened
Staten Island Writing Center. It has been a privilege to watch the
center grow and build relationships both on and off campus. I am
particularly pleased with our technological innovations, especially
our WCOnline module and
chat consultations, that work to further unify the Queens and
Staten Island campuses.
I am pursuing a doctorate in Composition Studies at CUNY's
Graduate Center with a concentration on Writing Center Studies. I
also serve on the steering committee for the Northeast Writing Centers
Association (NEWCA).
