In 1996, I began my career at St. John's as a part-time
secretary in the English Department. A little less than a
year later, I was approached by Derek Owens who informed me that
he'd be opening a Writing Center on the Queens campus, and asked if
I'd like a full-time secretarial position there. Absolutely
overjoyed at the prospect of a full-time position, I accepted
immediately and worked alongside Derek. I feel honored to be
part of a Center that grew from a handful of tutors to a Center
with almost 50 tutors. I love working with and helping
students wherever I can. In my free time, I enjoy reading
novels, cooking, walking and taking care of my three
grandchildren.
