I am a
second year DA student in the English departement. Aside from
reading, I am interested in yoga, records, and cooking. I try to
encourage students to think about their work in the writing center
as something more than just proofreading. I prefer to ask the
students what they think about their essay, and to make their own
changes. I feel that those of us in the writing center act more as
guides rather than taskmasters or editors.
