I would like to take the variety of
English classes offered at St. John’s, but my pharmacy coursework
makes it difficult to do so. The Writing Center is where I am able
to read and discuss literature, and my position as a consultant
allows me to help fellow students with their writing. Every session
is unique; it is exciting to be able to read so many different
styles of writing. I'm honored to have peers share their work
with me and I do my best to meet them at whatever
step necessary- whether it be brainstorming
ideas, outlining, editing, revising, or proofreading. Writing
is a skill that can always be improved upon; I don't believe I
know everything there is to know about writing. Every session
prepares me for the next, as I simultaneously develop my own
skills. Becoming a Writing Consultant has been one of the greatest
decisions of my student career, and I hope to foster a
comfortable and educational environment at the center.
