I am senior in the BA/MA English program with a double major in
Spanish and a minor in Social Justice. Originally from Salt Lake
City, Utah, I love to be outside whenever possible and miss being
able to ski 45 minutes away. When I am not reading, I am watching
anime or Doctor Who. After I graduate, I plan to wander the world
aimlessly (what else can you do with two language degrees).
I started working at the writing center in 2010 because it was
instrumental to my own writing process as a first year writing
student. The conversations that take place
during the sessions are essential to communicating dynamic,
well-formed ideas that I could not have replicated by staring
at a computer screen for three hours. During my time abroad, I
learned that the same conversation was not limited to a
face-to-face session and began to enjoy working
on e-tutorings.
For each session, I hope that the client walks away with a
better understanding of their own ideas and how to communicate
them, even if they aren't on paper yet.
