Hiya,
My name is Mary-Elizabeth, which is super long and British, so
just call me Meme. I'm majoring in Anthropology and Philosophy.
Settling on this was a lengthy process that involved trying out
virtually every major in CPS and SJC. My mum calls this course of
study the pre-unemployment track. Joke's on her because if that
ends up true, guess which Texas bedroom I'm moving back into! I
mean...that is unless Ryan Gosling finally comes to his senses and
realises he's madly in love with me. Then I'll be living in a
trendy loft somewhere! When I'm not lost in daydreams
about my future life with the Gos, I eat an obnoxious amount of
food. Seriously, my face is on a wall somewhere in Scranton, PA for
my chicken wing eating ability. I love playing soccer, tennis, and
apples to apples. I try and make at least 4 Star Wars references a
day. I also have a terrible habit of butchering songs as I sing
them completely out of tune. Sorry Bob Dylan.
My writing philosophy centers around making sure those who come
in for help find their voice as writers and are able to use that
voice to convey their message or tell a story with their writing.
Everyone has their own unique style and method to the writing
process, so I think an important part of being a tutor is being
able to help people find their own proverbial
groove.
