I started working in the Writing Center, and began my
studies in the Doctor of Arts in English program at St. John’s
University in the Fall of 2010. I received my BA from
Albertus Magnus College in 2002 where I studied English and
Philosophy. While at Albertus Magnus, I studied abroad at
Syracuse University in London in the Fall of 2000, and interned for
one semester at The New Haven Register, in the local news
department. From 2002 to 2004, I studied Education at Sacred
Heart University and interned and student taught at The Bridge
Academy, a charter secondary school in downtown Bridgeport,
CT. After receiving my Masters in 2004, I went back to my
hometown on Long Island to teach English at the secondary level,
where I held positions at Northport and Smithtown high
schools. In the Fall of 2008 I began as an adjunct instructor
of English at Suffolk County Community College, teaching
Composition courses at the Brentwood Campus.
