Hey!! I'm Brittany Mixson. I was born and raised in
Philadelphia, PA and came to New York three years ago, to study
here at St. John's University. I'm a Biology major/Music minor and
thus far I've enjoyed my time here as a student, but will be
graduating in the spring; Yay me!! I enjoy singing in the
choir here at St. John's and I leisurely read from time
to time. I'm a huge movie fanatic, so I'm always down to go to the
theatre whether it be to watch a film or see a play.
Aside from being a senior, I'm now going into my third semester
working here at the writing center. For each session that I
have, I usually start off with sort of an ice breaker to get to
know my client a little better. From there, we get into the
assignment and what's required. I believe in listening to the
clients first before any input is given on my end. The net goal for
me is to let my clients come up with their own ideas, and for me to
help put those ideas onto paper. With that being said, I'm looking
forward to a very fun and fantastic final year here at St. John's
and the IWS!
