Writing a paper can be extremely difficult and tedious.  Many will sit for hours, sometimes days, attempting to decide on a topic, introduce their ideas, develop their body paragraphs, and conclude their papers.  Even after completion, many of us will review our essays, wondering if it was written coherently and correctly.  What many do not realize is that the Institute for Writing Studies (The Writing Center) aides in each and every one of the steps we take to complete a paper from deciding on a topic to the final proofreading.  However, we are all aware of the fact that there is no perfect way to write a paper.  Everyone has their different ideas and writing styles.  It will always be your paper and your ideas.  We simply offer different perspectives on handling the issues and stumbling blocks that you may come across.  The Writing Center allows you a place to go where you can sit with your peers and talk through the frustrations and impediments that you have while writing.  Sometimes all we really need is a second pair of eyes and assurances that our ideas and papers are headed in the right direction, which the Writing Center will provide earnestly and enthusiastically.
