Messenger Blues
I sit here on this cot
I'm 57 and I'm getting old.
Outside its really cold
I'm 57 and I'm getting old
Outside its so damn cold.
I'm sitting here on this cot
My bikes in the hallway
Heavy as a piece of lead,
Man I wish I was dead
Messenger Blues, I got the Blues!
Outside its so damn...
Waves
March and crest with frigid winter winds;
I glance down from the bike lane at the
East Rivers waves that rise and strike the
Brooklyn Shore, I'll be happy, so very
happy when I shut my door. Then,
Fridgid winds and waves wont be anymore.
I Sit Here
Thinking of you and better times;
My coffe cup's nearby.
Reminiscing a love that is no more.
I replay the answering machine, your voice's
still the same!
Reminiscing your kisses and your touch,
My coffee cup's nearby, my heart's broken
in two; yet sadly theres nothing I can do...
Except ponder on the love I shared with you.
