Campus Community Forum II: Focus on Food

The Staten Island Faculty Committee on Community-Based Research and Partnerships and supported by the Vincentian Institute for Social Action (VISA) and the Office of the Academic Vice President, Staten Island present:

Campus Community Forum II: Focus on Food

This unique event brings together three St. John’s University classes and their common community partner, City Harvest, showcasing three distinct but coordinated academic service-learning (AS-L) projects.  Together, St. John’s and City Harvest are responding to the food and nutrition needs of the local community and working to ensure that all residents of Staten Island have access to healthy food.

We hope you will join us to learn more about this collaboration between St. John’s University Staten Island campus and City Harvest.  The program includes presentations by the following classes, in collaboration with Sheilah Crowley, Director of Community Partnerships for City Harvest, and Susan Fowler, Staten Island Community Development Coordinator for Staten Island:

  • Marketing 3320: Services Marketing (Professor Joan Ball, Tobin College of Business)
  • Education 1007: Methods of Teaching Science (Professor Francesca Carroll, School of Education)
