The Institute for Biotechnology at St. John’s University was established in 2002 and offers an M.S. in Biological and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology degree which was approved by the New York State Department of Education in May 2006.  The degree program is an interdisciplinary course of study comprised of courses given by the Departments of Biological Sciences and Chemistry in the graduate division of St. John’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the Departments of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmacy Administration and Allied Health Sciences in the graduate division of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.  It is administered by the Institute for Biotechnology which is under the auspices of the Office of the Provost.
