Andrew Lyons serves as Associate Director of the University Freshman Center.

Andy’s major areas of responsibility include leading the University Freshman Center’s process for escalating student concerns to the appropriate departments. He is also responsible for the management of several advisors of the University Freshman Center.

His academic credentials from St. John's University include a Professional Diploma in Instructional Leadership, a Master of Arts in Government and Politics, a certificate in International Affairs, and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.

Andy is an Adjunct Instructor in the University’s Department of Government and Politics. He is also a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserve, and a graduate of the Army's Command and General Staff College. He is a recipient of the University’s Founders Weeks Award.

Andy has been a member of the St. John's community for over ten years. His primary focus is to provide students with viable solutions for any questions or concerns. Prior to his current position in the University Freshman Center, Andy worked in the Office of Financial Aid.
