Scheduling is done as conveniently to the
patient's needs as possible. Speech-language sessions are scheduled
once or twice a week for 45 minutes each session (depending on
need), for over approximately twelve weeks of the semester.
Audiology appointments are scheduled Monday through Thursday till 7
pm.

Friday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
Saturday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
The semesters run from September through
December and from January through May; in the summer, the Center
operates from June through mid-August, according to the college
schedule.
When to Contact Us
Hearing
An evaluation is suggested when an
individual:
- Has a family history of hearing
loss
- Is born prematurely, had a low birth
weight, or whose mother had German measles or herpes during
pregnancy
- Has a Mother who had a distressed
birth
- Does not respond to sounds or frequently
needs things repeated
- Has frequent ear infections or defects
of the ear, nose, or throat
- Thinks others do not speak
clearly
- Thinks that a hearing aid might be
helpful
- Has trouble understanding what was
said
Speech and Language
An evaluation is suggested when an
individual:
- Has difficulty expressing
thoughts
- Does not make sounds appropriate for his
or her age
- Stutters or speaks unusually
fast
- Has voice problems, such as: too high or
too low pitch, hoarseness, too loud or too soft-spoken
voice
- Has an illness or has had an injury
which affects communication
- Feels his/her speech or language is a
problem
- Has learning difficulties that appear to
be language based
