and speak to you more about the right of crime victims in New York
State.
Legal Assistance - If you require assistance with criminal,
family, or housing court issues, as well as immigration concerns,
these programs can help you.
Crisis Intervention – If you or your loved ones are in distress
(but not in danger) and require immediate services, these agencies
can help you. For life-threatening or potentially violent
emergencies, please call 911 or head to the nearest emergency
room.
Counseling – If you or your loved ones are suffering from
feelings of sadness, fear, or loss these organizations can provide
a place to help you or your loved ones cope and heal.
Education – If you would like to obtain GED, ESL, or adult
literacy services, these agencies can assist you.
Advocacy – If you or your loved ones need assistance with
obtaining or maintaining housing, benefits, social services, and/or
