Dr. Brown is granted NIH/NIMH K-08 Award, Child and Family Recovery Program Created at the NYU Child Study Center, and Randomized Clinical Trial Implemented to study Effect of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in Treatment of Childhood Traumatic Grief.

Traumatic Bereavement Program and Silver Shield Foundation Grant
Out of the Child and Family Recovery Program grew the Traumatic Bereavement Program led by Drs. Brown and Goodman.

PARTNERS transfers to St. John’s University, with Dr. Brown as Associate Professor of Psychology.

PARTNERS Receives National Child Traumatic Stress Network Grant “Category III” Status.

2006
PARTNERS adds day-treatment component to OMH grant.
PARTNERS has collaborated with QCPC since 2004 in the inpatient facility; in September, 2006, Dr. Brown was awarded a grant from the New York State Office of Mental Health to extend the QCPC collaboration to the day-treatment program.  PARTNERS and QCPC staff were trained on evidence-based assessment and treatment techniques.

2007

PARTNERS Implements data collection for OMH day-treatment Program. PARTNERS begins collecting data for the day-treatment comparison study.

2008
Dr. Brown full Professor of Psychology at St. John’s University and PARTNERS expands exponentially.
