Conduct Innovative and Clinically-Meaningful Research

PARTNERS is constantly striving to push the science of psychology.  We are unique because, unlike most service agencies, PARTNERS evaluates every aspect of care, from the initial phone contact with families to treatment outcome.  Research informs clinical practice and real world experiences inform our research questions.  As a result, all of our services are supported by state-of-the-art science.  In pursuance of the aforementioned goals, PARTNERS aims to extend treatment outcome methodology to the community level, evaluating models of community entry.  Dr. Brown also plans to examine the biological and behavioral impact of successful therapies with innovative assessment techniques.

Dr. Brown and the PARTNERS team collaborate with national and international experts in the trauma field, some of whom sit on our Board of Advisors.  To date, Dr. Brown has published over 100 presentations at scientific and clinical conferences and 40 articles and chapters.  Dr. Brown also mentors undergraduate students, Master’s candidates, doctoral candidates, and post-doctoral fellows, with the goal of developing trauma scientist-practitioners.  Collaborating with junior colleagues and experts keeps PARTNERS on the cutting edge of clinically meaningful research.
