Dr. Thompson’s research and clinical interests include distortion product otoacoustic emissions and reflectance measurements, which are objective and non-invasive tests useful for the detection and diagnosis of hearing loss in difficult to test populations.  Dr. Thompson is a New York State licensed Audiologist, and holds membership in the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Additionally, she sits on the Scientific and Professional Education Board for ASHA and on the Board of Directors for National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA), the student-focused branch of ASHA. Dr. Thompson also is the NSSLHA Consultant for Educational Programming and is involved in planning the NSSLHA Experience for Undergraduate and Graduate students at the annual ASHA convention..
