Dr. Miller’s (formerly Thompson) research and clinical interests include distortion product otoacoustic emissions and reflectance measurements, which are objective and non-invasive tests useful for the detection and diagnosis of hearing loss in difficult to test populations. In 2016 she received an Academic Service Learning grant to screen children from low-income households for hearing loss.  Dr. Miller enjoys mentoring student research in the Long Island Doctor of Audiology Consortium where she is also the program director for St. John's University. Dr. Miller is a New York State licensed Audiologist and holds membership in the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the New York State Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
