Regina Mistretta, Ed.D.

Curriculum and Instruction
Ed.D., Teachers College at Columbia University
M.S., Brooklyn College;
B.S., St. John's University

I have practiced in the field of education for close to three decades at elementary, middle, and high school levels, as well as at public and private institutions of higher education. Mathematics Education, Teacher Preparation, and Family Engagement are my primary areas of teaching, research, and service. Providing professional development for inservice teachers and administrators in Pre-K to 8 school settings is also something I take great pleasure in doing.

I strive to energize faculty to cohesively drive programs of study, and am continuously guided by what research and practical experience informs me makes sense. In addition, I embrace opportunities to collaborate and explore new ideas.  I believe that if we lose our appreciation of diversity and our willingness to envision innovative frameworks, we place ourselves at risk of not transforming what we know into even deeper understandings.
