Judy Cooperman has been teaching at St. John’s University since 2006 in the Department of Art and Design as well as for the Discover New York and Global Passport Programs in the Institute of Core Studies.

Professor Cooperman is also an exhibiting artist and ha been recognized for her artwork, winning a number of awards, which include first place in the “Top Ten Women in the Arts” international exhibition in Rome Italy (2009). Among her professional memberships are the Women’s Caucus for Art and the National Association of Women Artists. Her primary area of interest in her art has been in documenting women and the contemporary beauty culture with additional interests in public art.
